NVMS Certificate Programs and Intensive Institutes
In addition to the numerous Virginia and Maryland Court Certifications, NVMS offers five unique certificates in mediation. Certificates in Federal Workplace Mediation, Family Mediation, Commercial and Workplace Mediation, Conflict Management and Leadership and Organization Development and Conflict Resolution are available through NVMS.
These certificates are ideal to continue mediation training in a specific field, support professional development through subject matter expertise, establish individual credentials, and meet continuing education goals or standards.
Requirements: As of 1/2/08, you will be responsible for completing the requirements that were in effect on the date of your first workshop.Please call the Training Program Manager at 703.865.7261 if you have any questions or need further information.
Waivers & Substitutions: Two workshops from each certificate may be waived upon satisfactory evidence of having completed a comparable workshop elsewhere. Substitutions may be possible if a particular class is canceled or if another workshop would better meet your individual goals. Please discuss waivers and substitution with the NVMS Training Program Manager.
Application for Certificate: No advance registration is required for our certificate programs. Just register for the classes you need and, when completed, submit an NVMS Application for Certificate (pdf). These application forms are also available at our Training Center or by calling our Training Program Manager at 703.865.7261. Our busy office staff will need time to verify each class you attended, prepare and mail the certificate.
